Be careful if you see anyone you recognize from home in the mists! It seems like hallucinating such things is possible here. It would be a shame if you tumbled into the River chasing an illusion.
If you've seen one, though, I'm curious: were they someone who already died in your world, or were they someone who was supposed to be alive?
[Listen. Nagito can't only put up a warning. He has to gather potentially sensitive information about it too.]

It was good to read that Kel had others. He should. And yet… it reminded Sunny of just how much some things could change, in the course of time.
He… still was a bit touchy when interacting with his friend. (His friend? Did Kel even want to stay friends? Sunny wasn’t sure after… whatever had happened.)]
Stay away from the Mist. That’s probably better.
[He could at least agree with one thing: Kel should stay away from dangerous things. There wasn’t Life Jam or safe areas here, outside of the communal Village, but even then… water was around. Spiders were around. There were dangers.]

He tried to talk. It didn't work out and it hurts. But- it's okay.
From his experience friendship hurts a lot, at least from what he sees in their friend group.]
It's okay, Sunny. The first person is really, really important to me. I need to make sure they're not there lost in the mist- BUT. I will be careful. And if he keeps not replying, I'll eventually give up.
[One could assume Hero, but no. It's Basil that keeps trying to lure him out, pouring fuel over Kel's sense of guilt and take advantage of his need to protect his friends.]

That’s easier. Otherwise, especially when it comes to Kel now, he clams up. Sunny doesn’t want to, he wants to talk and enjoy things, but every time he thinks about talking to his friend, it rings again in his mind.
HE KNOWS
And that’s terrifying enough to scare him back under the covers. At least here, he’s able to hide and check in… even if he can feel a bit of… frustration(?) at the fact his friend isn’t listening.
He’s trying. But Kel keeps putting himself in danger, just like that first Crossing, and while Sunny doesn’t have any right to say what his friend should do, that doesn’t mean he stops caring.
Quick check then.] Is it someone I know?
[Sunny hasn’t seen anyone (yet. He knows it’s a matter of time), but… maybe having a second lookout, even if it’s just from the window of the communal dwelling, could convince Kel otherwise.
It was easier to talk about something connected to them than it was about… whatever had happened between them. Sunny didn’t know what had occurred when he blacked out, just that he had woken on a bed and… communication was hard.]
no subject
And yes. He knew. There was little to nothing he could do to take that conversation back and now they both had to deal with this... awkwardness? He didn't even know how to call it, he just knew Sunny kept hiding away.
But no time for that, not when he has to decide if he should be honest or not with him. In the end, he chooses just to avoid details.]
Yes. Don't worry, though, if this person is here I'll find them.
[As if Kel could accept help when he felt this insane level of guilt about.. everything.]
no subject
Really, Sunny can deduce who it might be (there are only two possibilities based on who isn’t here), and while he had met some of Kel’s other friends during those three days, Sunny himself didn’t really know them.]
…be careful. Searching in mist didn’t work out last time.
[Last time, in his head, though Kel didn’t know that. It was a way for Sunny to say he had experience with how poorly this could go. Looking for answers in the unknown led to only hurt.]
no subject
Still, he does take a moment before replying. what... did Sunny do? ]
Care to elaborate?
[If people are letting Sunny wander in the mist on his own, he's going to have some stern words with the rest of the group.]
The way the Sunny in me just went “oh no” XD
[And then there’s a really long gap where Sunny simply stares at his notebook, unable to figure out what to put into words. Kel might see the forming of letters only to have that erased, half-conceptualized thoughts, even a small doodle (because he thought it would help, but no). In the end, all Sunny can come up with is two words.]
Not here. [And sending those still doesn’t stop the anxiety cramping his stomach.]
Sorry but Kel was ready to go to war with the rest of the group XD
[He doesn't ask anything else, Kel waits for once. He looks at the half words and the abandoned sketch in confusion, trying to make sense of the little he can spot here and there. Not really much, no...
Still, he can't recall any big mist related event in Faraway, not at least any where Sunny was involved.]
Back home? Or back to the place where you have your adventures?
The “oops, bring out the pillows because the sleepover turns into a fight” XD
It takes some time for Sunny to process that question too. ‘Home’… was Faraway technically home? It hadn’t felt that way in a long time. And yet… Headspace couldn’t be home either, just someplace he was comfortable.]
Not Faraway.[He will at least give that.]
Kel shall 'pillow' everyone who dares put Mari or Sunny in danger! Just watch.
Do you want to talk about it?
[He expects the answer to be 'no' regardless, but he's still supposed to be the one offering a hand to the others, right?]
Pillow warrior! Fear him XD
…it didn’t work…
[Not an outright no, but Sunny wasn’t sure what benefit there might be to sharing. It… wouldn’t help here. And while he knew Kel wouldn’t laugh at him or anything… Sunny wasn’t sure how he felt.]
He can also double stuffing a blankie inside a pillow case and using it as ball!
Well. Sometimes it's worth trying even if things don't go well the first time. Right?
[kel was so different from Sunny, thought. When things didn't work, he merely kept butting his head against any problem. Right now? his main one was 'how do I find Basil if he's here?' even if by this point he was starting to believe the 'hallucination' theory]
XD
…don’t have that luxury here…
[The way his reply comes through, it’s almost like there was more to it. Pieces erased or crossed out. And it was true - even if they couldn’t be hurt outside of the Crossing, not physically anyway, being dead wasn’t a luxury. They couldn’t just go chasing things anymore.]
