Post Crossing Meeting

WHO: Kel and anyone who wants to discuss The Crossing
WHAT: Second 'Town Meeting'
WHERE: Oasis
WHEN: A bit after the crossing, when everyone has time to calm down and breathe.
WARNINGS Talks of death, definitely, mention of blood and wounds, other CWs to be added.

[Kel has seen people scatter around and, despite still acting like a foolish fool around Mari and Sunny... he is doing his best to try to coordinate things as he can. Armed with a set bright of pink pencils, definitely merchandise of the Sweetheart brand from his place, he prepared a whole wall in one of the shelters to work as a rough chalkboard and, written on it, there are his few observations from staying behind.

- Nothing beside the wraiths did show up. What are we running from?
- Ferryman honest or not?
- When you don't pay the tool, you may still lose memories
- Our bodies can get hurt as if we're still alive.
- Discussion About Crossing from both sides?

It's not much but try to get stuff to appear properly on a blank wall when all you have is a bunch of pencils that don't even write that well. He's trying, though, he really is. A message is sent out to everyone after he's done gathering enough pillows for everyone to sit in, inviting people to come and share experiences, and... that's all. He did, at least, prepare water for everyone to drink.... it's somethin, right?

"Why, thank you for coming! Take a seat, mingle and let's get down to businesses!"

OOC: This is a mingle thread. Feel free to interact with each other and have discussions about things. The 'chalkboard' will be updated if anything is brought up to Kel's attention, I'll leave an open post for that.

"Please, call me Dankovsky." He says with a smile. Doc is WAY too informal, "I don't think I notice at first, making knowing exactly when I lose a memory hard to track. Truthfully, I am normally reminiscing about my life, and I realize there's a hole there, where information aught to be. Or at least that is how I experience the phenomenon."

First his reason for coming to that town, and then his reason that he found, as being forced to stay was too painful otherwise... he's forgotten both. Daniil wonders if other people have patterns to their memory loss or if that's just him, but, well, he's not going to burden a child with that!

"And that is a sound hypothesis, young man!" He says, beaming, "I certainly hope that's not the case, but perhaps we could become just that if we misstep in some way. The truth of the matter remains to be seen."

Dankovsky gives an empathetic nod at Kel's plight, "You have people you know, yes? Perhaps having you all write down what all you remember could help out. That way you'd know if anything goes missing."

He'd do the same himself, but he's too worried about someone snooping. Besides! He just wasn't going to forget anything from now on.

"I wouldn't worry too much, fella." Dankovsky says softly, "I'm certain we won't become monsters or anything. I won't let it happen." He's trying to sound as convincing as he can, reassuring, but the possibility of it happening is gnawing at him too.

That makes him hesitate too. Everyone sharing their entire lives seems so personal. Even for people who are now stuck in what Daniil perceives as a life or death situation. He really needs to get a notebook that is private. A diary of sorts. He makes a mental note to do so.

"I suppose... it depends on how comfortable everyone is with such a thing." He says, genuinely NOT being comfortable with it, "I thought you and your friends would be comfortable with each other. My apologies if I assumed. But please, don't hesitate to share your thoughts. While keeping a positive attitude is a trait to be admired, we wouldn't want to hold things in needlessly, yes?"

If only Dankovsky viewed it similarly. To him any memory he loses is a personal failure. It's not as if there isn't things he wouldn't mind forgetting, per say, but to have someone else do it for him? Steal the memory right out of his head? Not on his watch.

Except yes, absolutely on his watch.

"I suppose trust is paramount." He says, though the way he says it, he's not entirely convinced. Though trust isn't entirely the problem, it's more just a matter of being a private person. "We do all have to stick together, none of us are a burden on each other."

He might say differently about Nagito, perhaps, but Kel? Kel could never be a burden in Daniil's eyes.
