[Kel has seen people scatter around and, despite still acting like a foolish fool around Mari and Sunny... he is doing his best to try to coordinate things as he can. Armed with a set bright of pink pencils, definitely merchandise of the Sweetheart brand from his place, he prepared a whole wall in one of the shelters to work as a rough chalkboard and, written on it, there are his few observations from staying behind.

- Nothing beside the wraiths did show up. What are we running from?
- Ferryman honest or not?
- When you don't pay the tool, you may still lose memories
- Our bodies can get hurt as if we're still alive.
- Discussion About Crossing from both sides?

It's not much but try to get stuff to appear properly on a blank wall when all you have is a bunch of pencils that don't even write that well. He's trying, though, he really is. A message is sent out to everyone after he's done gathering enough pillows for everyone to sit in, inviting people to come and share experiences, and... that's all. He did, at least, prepare water for everyone to drink.... it's somethin, right?

"Why, thank you for coming! Take a seat, mingle and let's get down to businesses!"

OOC: This is a mingle thread. Feel free to interact with each other and have discussions about things. The 'chalkboard' will be updated if anything is brought up to Kel's attention, I'll leave an open post for that.

[Soo Won wasn't surprised to see Makoto and Frieda shared his concerns about the wraiths. He quietly sighed as he read their responses.]

I was told the same thing and I would be more inclined to agree if the Ferryman were a bit more forthcoming with information.

[He wasn't ready to leave the wraiths in the care of someone he didn't entirely trust.]

[Makoto nodded at Soo Won's words, agreeing with him.]

I want to trust Ferryman-san but I don't like them holding back some important information. And those wraiths...There has to be something we can do! Even if it's something small! But Ferryman-san refused my help so...

It seems that we've all had the same experience - receiving little information and having our offers of help discouraged. I feel the same upset about it as you both do, but I fear that we will have to let the matter go.

[It felt like a failure, certainly, to provide even the faintest assistance to the warped lost souls, but what could they do? Hesitantly, she volunteered what little additional information she'd been able to glean:]

The only thing that seems to attract the wraiths - other than those who 'cross' without protection - were the whispering pools in the catacombs, but why, I wasn't able to figure out. Even when I stuck my head underwater, the whispers remained indistinct... at least to my ears.

[Soo Won shared their frustration and his brow pinched with irritation as he considered their options. After a moment he relented with a quiet sigh.]

For now I'm forced to agree there is nothing we can do, however I don't plan to let the matter go entirely. There's still too much we don't know to warrant giving up yet. Like their attraction to the whispering pools, we may discover more about the wraiths as we continue our journey.

[Makoto sighs but nods in agreement. He didn't like it but none of them did. He just hopes that they will find more information about the wraiths as they go.]

How has Ferryman-san been to you two lately? I haven't talked to them recently.

Kind. I asked for sunhats for myself and Tha-- Prelate Celehar, and seeing how well the ones I received suit us, I can't help but feel like thought was put into the selection.

[That goes double seeing how Sunny and Mari received such a cute matching pair of hats, too! Regardless of how close she's grown to Celehar, Frieda feels it appropriate to refer to him by title in front of others... at least for now. That aside--]

Sometimes, I feel like the Ferryman seems... sad. Especially when I ask about the wraiths.

[Soo Won considered his answer with a small hum.]

They were more accommodating the last time I spoke with them. They still withheld some information but they indulged my questions more than I thought they would. I don't know why they choose to remain secretive however I'm inclined to believe their concern for us and the wraiths is sincere.

[He recognized the weight behind the Ferryman's expression when they talked about the wraiths. It was same weight he carried and his eyes narrowed slightly at the thought.]

[Makoto listens to the other two and sighs.]

I see. Perhaps I should talk to them again sometime soon. I haven't talked to them in a while.

[He wasn't trying to avoid them but after seeing how upset Nagito had been, had made him hesitant to talk to them after the crossing.]

[Once more, Frieda hesitates before saying what's on her mind - it just feels so eerie every time she thinks about it.]

Has the Ferryman mentioned having met either of you before - used phrases like "It's good to see you again", even at first meeting?

[She can't fully suppress a slight shudder. Despite the Ferryman's friendliness, the thought of having returned to their souls' primordial birthplace is larger than she feels she can handle, despite the vast millennia of memories she was able to bear (for the most part).]

[Soo Won agreed with a small hum.]

Not is so many words but I got the impression it wasn't our first meeting.

[It was a curious thought to be sure. Soo Won wasn't sure what he thought about it yet.]
