As much as I am loathe to admit it, we will have to move on from what small bits of safety and comfort this place has brought us. I do believe we should discuss our plans for the coming crossing openly. Consider this a place to drop your thoughts on the idea. Might as well start planning earlier rather than later.

Unless you have a good reason to I strongly suggest that you do not take the crossing alone. There is safety in numbers.

I would like to also get a head count of who all is with us if possible. I have heard about some of us going missing and I find this rather disturbing so I find it pertinent to double check.

If he chooses to stay behind I will do my best to protect him.

[ Dankovsky doesn't really WANT to stay behind. He's exhausted and tired of all of this already. But he can't let someone like Kel stay behind by themselves. No way. ]

I'll talk to Kel and see if I can persuade him to go with the Ferryman.

[Sunny figured that was at least in order. Dankovsky was going out of his way to help Kel, one way or another, and Sunny knew he couldn’t persuade his friend otherwise.]

I know, Sunny. I want everyone to be safe too.

[ Ironic that he's on the other side of this fiasco now, trying to get everyone to stay put, but that last crossing was enough to shake him up pretty good. ]

[Sunny overlaps his lines, circling the letters of the first word in a way similar to bolding on a device, just less neat. Because it wasn’t just about everyone minus Dankovsky; it was about all of them.

(Such a strange feeling. It bordered care, but Sunny didn’t want to see these people hurt; those who had been so kind to him when he didn’t deserve it.]
