Post Crossing Meeting
WHO: Kel and anyone who wants to discuss The Crossing
WHAT: Second 'Town Meeting'
WHERE: Oasis
WHEN: A bit after the crossing, when everyone has time to calm down and breathe.
WARNINGS Talks of death, definitely, mention of blood and wounds, other CWs to be added.
[Kel has seen people scatter around and, despite still acting like a foolish fool around Mari and Sunny... he is doing his best to try to coordinate things as he can. Armed with a set bright of pink pencils, definitely merchandise of the Sweetheart brand from his place, he prepared a whole wall in one of the shelters to work as a rough chalkboard and, written on it, there are his few observations from staying behind.
- Nothing beside the wraiths did show up. What are we running from?
- Ferryman honest or not?
- When you don't pay the tool, you may still lose memories
- Our bodies can get hurt as if we're still alive.
- Discussion About Crossing from both sides?
It's not much but try to get stuff to appear properly on a blank wall when all you have is a bunch of pencils that don't even write that well. He's trying, though, he really is. A message is sent out to everyone after he's done gathering enough pillows for everyone to sit in, inviting people to come and share experiences, and... that's all. He did, at least, prepare water for everyone to drink.... it's somethin, right?
"Why, thank you for coming! Take a seat, mingle and let's get down to businesses!"
OOC: This is a mingle thread. Feel free to interact with each other and have discussions about things. The 'chalkboard' will be updated if anything is brought up to Kel's attention, I'll leave an open post for that.

This doesn't stop him from speaking up.]
Could someone clarify the situation about those who didn't travel with Ferryman-san losing memories?
[Nagito is also here if, for whatever reason, you want to talk to him about something else! He will remain up against the wall until further notice.]
no subject
Well... I think I forgot something from my arrival to... now.
[It's barely a whisper, really, as he leans as well against the wall.]
I didn't pay anything to the Ferryman, but I am under the impression I forgot someone important. Which... means I lost that memory at some point. The walk without the Ferryman being the most plausible explanation.

[He crossed his arms, looking at the other.]
The only thing that chased us was those things. Once the lantern was gone and the light distant, they just started to turn, from what I've seen nothing seems to suggest anything was coming after us or pushing the Ferryman away.
[A pause.]
I... am going to ask Sunny, though. Kind of. Have I ever mentioned anyone named Hero to you?
no subject
Did you feel as if you had to go to the River, before we all separated? I had a feeling like that.
no subject
Oh, yes. I totally did. My entire body was telling me to move, to go..

Realizing you've lost a memory feels like suddenly realizing there's a hole in your favorite dress shirt. You don't see when the hole is torn, but you certainly notice it later on.
"I am assuming whomever else lost memories without paying a toll must share some sort of commonality with me." He says, nodding, "This is the only logical conclusion to come to."
no subject
He's being more direct about this situation; while he'd taken the route with the Ferryman last time, he's far from being convinced that will be the ideal solution each time. Losing memories regardless, though, changes his calculations.
no subject
Yes he is implying crossing again without paying a toll. He'll have to figure out how to stay safe from injury but he has time to come up with a plan.
"If you must," He sighs, understanding the importance, but not wanting to share, "Know that before this horrible mess, I was summoned off to a town by letter. I know I had a reason to go to that town, I would not leave my Thanacia by choice, but I do not remember why. It must have had to do something with my work... my cure against death that I was working so diligently on."
Talking about it seems to irritate him further. It really does bother him not knowing, particularly considering what happened AFTER he showed up.
no subject
Now, as for the memory... "A cure against death, huh? I see, you were fixated on that sort of thing even before you died." This actually might help explain his insistence that he's not dead. Interesting! Unfortunately, also vague enough to make it difficult to compare Dankovsky and Kel for any memory loss similarities, but that's the problem with losing your memories.
no subject
He crosses his arms as he speaks, he's so smug about his work, but there's also genuine pride there.
"Nevertheless, I don't see how my work is relevant. I have no way to continue my research now."

Oh no Nagito XD
no subject
Maybe… Nagito had had his fill of talking with him over the hamsters. Or when they had chatted after the other found his way back from the Desert.
That thought had Sunny fidgeting nervously where he sat. How could he make it up to Nagito, if he had been a bother…?
He already couldn’t help answer the question the other had asked, because Sunny had been with the Ferryman too.
Diligently, he wrote down what he could hear of other conversations, adding notes from the Wall too.]
no subject
Is he doing this in front of the meeting? Yes XD
Then, he takes a few moments to debate something.
Standing up, he approaches Nagito’s wall… fidgeting a little. He can’t really hide what he’s holding - it looks like a waterproof material.]

It’s… waterproof… in case the River… gets wet again.

Nagito! Are you feeling better?
[She tried to smile at him as naturally as she could. Surely if he wasn't feeling better he wouldn't he here right? But his question did raise some concern, mainly of the things she had taken note of after seeing Kel. He hadn't gone with the Ferryman...]
Are those who didn't go with us losing memories as well?
[She hoped not. After all, the whole reason they hadn't traveled is cause they didn't want to give up memories- or in Kel's place to see what happened if you didn't travel with the group...]
no subject
I'm fine, Mari-san, there's no need to worry about me. [He tries to wave it off, as much as he can.] It does seem like even people who didn't go with Ferryman-san lost memories. It might be connected to being injured, but I'm really not sure yet.
no subject
That... might line up with what I've suspected... [She couldn't get Kel out of her mind. She frowned, recalling how he seemed not to remember Hero...]
no subject
Did you learn something about it?
no subject
[She glanced over at where Kel was, before turning back to Nagito.]
I don't know how well you know Kel...

Wildcard
Hopefully, Nagito either stays behind or leaves on his own, because as soon as most or all of the others have dispersed, she approaches him for the second time in a short while.]
Nagito? Do you have some time to walk with me?
[She should have spoken with him soon after the Crossing, but she procrastinated, knowing that it'd be a difficult talk... now, though, she can't postpone it any longer.]
no subject
Sure, if you'd really like to talk to someone like me.
no subject
[She's at the point where she'll simply ignore his self-depreciation - for now, at least. Leading the way in the rough direction of the cliffs, though willing to meander around and change course since they're not truly heading to a destination, she cuts right to the chase as soon as she's sure that they're out of earshot of the others:]
Why did you try to make Mari lose faith in everyone? You told me that generating hope is more important than anything. Weren't you trying to instill despair in her by insinuating that we could turn on each other?
